Founding Bendigo Insurance Brokers in 1989 wasn’t a difficult task for Dennis Raftery. A passion for his community, an appetite for the insurance industry and a desire to build a strong broking service simply carved the niche he was working towards.
His customer-focused attitude together with a high level of industry knowledge and experience has proven to be a winning combination for Dennis and his team at Bendigo Insurance Brokers.
“I started this independent company because I believed we could do better and there is no question that we are well entrenched as a market leader in the provision of insurance broking services,” Dennis says.
“I’ve formed a broking firm, which opened its doors to a vision that continues to guide and serve us well.
“It’s a philosophy that creates lasting partnerships by delivering a service that unites people, products and capability,” he explains.Dennis has forged the business to ‘iconic’ status in Bendigo and he’s supremely proud that the many client partnerships he formed decades ago remain to this day.
"Our average annual client retention is more than 95 per cent. This, plus our intrinsically aggressive business development and customer servicing attitudes have been a foundation for success,” he adds.
According to Dennis he’s seeing a new insurance generation that’s more determined than ever to maintain the dream that’s served his company so well.
“Our business is all about protecting what personally matters to you and your business,” he explains. “For two decades we’ve been diligently delivering commercial insurance solutions to small, medium and large enterprises and protecting the assets of thousands of individuals.
